21-year-old NamrataΒ Devidas Salwatkar from the Chandrapur tehsil of Maharashtra, with her two siblings grew up in a lower-middle class setting with their family incomeΒ being generated from the less than 1 hectareΒ of land which they own.Β “Scorching summer heat or flooding Maharashtra rains, it is all the same for my farmer father, working on his field to bring food to the table .”
Accessing quality education for all three children seemed a herculean task for their family. “My siblings and I managed to complete school with scholarships provided by benevolent authorities for resource-limited students” marked Namrata sharing how she borrowed uniforms and school supplies. Namrata’s contrasting journey fromΒ “a local village school devoid of amenities to the JAVA web sessions at ANUDIP has been a learning experience from the world of limitations to one of expectations”,Β marks the 21 year-old.

Further to fulfill her father’s dream of owning a pucca house someday,Β Namrata assures, “my monthly income is not just an earning but a daughter’s pursuit to build a concrete home for her parents.”
